Client is a multinational manufacturer with multiple factories in Malaysia
**Responsibilities**:
- QA/QC Roles_
- Participate in Global/SEA technical team discussions. Assists Line Manager to localize discussions into actionable SEA technical plans. Review and defines project requirements with Line Manager
- Support Line Manager in development works, including checking chemical components and determining specifications. Conducts product experiments on using lab
- and pilot-scale units and achieve the specific desired product properties. Projects may involve direct adaptation of existing formulation our database or a new product development.
- Analyze technical data from both internal and external trials to draw conclusions. Document project work, issues reports, and maintains files on projects. Complete any necessary regulatory forms.
- Interface with other R&D colleagues as needed (e.g. cross-functional teams). Interfaces with external customers only with Sales team’s oversight.
- Maintains an active awareness of technology inside and outside the company within Company Code of Conduct.
- Proactively contributes to the maintenance of a safe work environment for self and associates.
- Develop internal experience internally through internal technical reports, project teams,customer visits and technical conferences.
- Support and backup other Chemist colleagues in Port Klang or SEA as and when required.
- R&D Roles_
- Develop new products and processes, utilizing existing and new technology that will lead to successful commercialization in the market place.
- Undertake and complete Technical Service Requests when required.
- Quality control and factory support on a day to day basis.
- Ensure an efficient, safe and clean working environment is maintained.
- Monitor and control the development and design process for product development and technical service utilising LIMS / LISA system and review for successful progress.
- Liaise with overseas counterparts to build and improve international knowledge and co-operation.
- Understanding and appreciation of customer requirements by direct customer contact.
- Liaise with existing and prospective suppliers to introduce new and improved raw materials to development process.
- Ensure maintenance / upkeep of laboratory data bases as required (LIMS-LISA / E1)
**Requirements**:
- Degree holder in Chemistry or Science with 1-2 years relevant working experience, preferably in a petroleum laboratory, rubber and manufacturing environment.
- Experience in ISO 9001:2015 will be added advantage.
- PC skills for Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point.
- Team working skills to work cooperatively and liaise with people at all levels.
- Good diagnostic and problem solving skill.
Be confident to respond positively when under pressure.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: RM2,500.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
