The Student Support Specialist plays a vital role in enhancing the educational experience of students by providing personalised support and resources tailored to their individual needs. As a key member of our student services team, you will act as a liaison between students, faculty, and administrative staff, ensuring that each student has access to the necessary resources to thrive academically and personally. This position involves working closely with students to identify their unique challenges and strengths and to develop strategies to help them succeed in their educational pursuits. You will help facilitate workshops, support programs, and counselling sessions designed to improve students' academic performance and well-being. Additionally, the Student Support Specialist will collaborate with various departments to streamline support services and advocate for student needs within the organisation. You will also be responsible for keeping accurate records of student interactions and outcomes to assess the effectiveness of support programs. **Responsibilities**:

- Provide one-on-one support and counselling to students in Years 7 - 11, facing academic and personal challenges.
- Develop and implement support programs and workshops tailored to diverse student needs.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to create a seamless support system for students.
- Monitor student progress and maintain detailed records of interactions and outcomes.
- Facilitate group discussions and training sessions on topics like time management and study skills.
- Advocate for student needs and concerns within the school.
- Participate in outreach activities to engage students and raise awareness about available support services.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in education, psychology, social work, or a closely related field, demonstrating a strong theoretical foundation for the role.
- Experience working in an academic support role or in student services.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with students.
- Ability to work collaboratively with faculty and staff across different departments.
- Proficient in using student management systems and Google for Education.
- Established ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion and professional integrity.
- Robust organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail in record-keeping and reporting, ensuring accuracy and data-driven insights.
