**Job Scope**:
**1. Food Preparation**:
- Prepare and cook dishes according to the restaurant’s recipes and standards.
- Follow portion control guidelines to ensure consistency and minimize waste.
- Ensure ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and adequately prepared before service.
**2. Kitchen Operations**:
- Work efficiently on the assigned station (e.g., grill, sauté, fryer, or prep).
- Assist in menu prep, including cutting, chopping, marinating, and other pre-cooking tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation throughout shifts.
**3. Quality Control**:
- Ensure dishes meet quality, taste, and presentation standards before serving.
- Monitor food stock levels and report shortages or quality issues to the supervisor.
- Assist with plating and garnishing when required.
**4. Hygiene and Safety**:
- Follow food safety and hygiene regulations at all times.
- Regularly clean kitchen equipment and tools after use.
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
**5. Collaboration**:
- Work as part of a team to ensure efficient kitchen operations during peak hours.
- Take directions from senior kitchen staff, including the Chef de Partie (CDP) or Sous Chef.
- Support the team by performing additional duties as needed, such as unloading supplies or assisting other stations.
**Education and Experience Requirements:Education**:
- Minimum **SPM (High School Certificate)** or equivalent.
- Culinary training or a certificate/diploma in Culinary Arts or a related field is an advantage but not mandatory.
**Experience**:
- **Preferred**: At least **3 year of experience** as a Line Cook, Kitchen Assistant, or similar role in a restaurant/hotel/banquet.
**Skills and Qualities**:
- Basic knowledge of cooking techniques, food safety, and kitchen operations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure during busy periods.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- A strong work ethic and a passion for cooking.
