Associate Director, Network Strategy Execution

**Role Description**
The Associate Director, Network Strategy Execution is responsible for leading a set of global projects. He/she will lead cross-functional teams for projects that may include establishing new sources of supply for registered materials or managing a portfolio of complex process or packaging changes with regulatory impact.
Supported by a diverse, collaborative, and multi-skilled global team, this role is focused on assessing, leading, and managing the successful end to end (E2E) project management of major and complex supply chain changes by driving cross-divisional and cross-functional teams to ensure delivery of the targeted goals and timelines.
**Responsibilities**
The incumbent is responsible to achieve project objectives and defined business requirements effectively and efficiently through exceptional project management.
Some detailed responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Project/Portfolio Management:
- Owning and developing detailed project plans for given changes using standard tools and aligning/ coordinating cross-functional groups
- Managing multiple projects at any one time that have high complexity (global supply chain impact with many interdependencies)
- Leading and executing within multifaceted project environments with a small to large cross-functional team
Strategic Inventory Management/Supply Transitioning:
- Defining key business requirements (validation, regulatory filing, inventory builds, and creating inventory transition plans to the new source of supply or for post-change supply)
Risk Management:
- Proactively identifying and mitigating risks, issues, and conflicting agendas/priorities for quick Resolution
- Being able to align teams to solve problems
- Bringing innovation into every day thinking to mitigate risks
Communication:
- Driving inter-project communication and integrated execution, and sharing of best practices
Development of Project Business Case:
- Understanding the requirements of a complex business case for assigned changes
- Continually assessing key business elements across project lifecycle to ensure enterprise goals remain relevant in an ever-changing environment, and escalate as required.
**Qualifications and Experience**
- Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Engineering, or Supply Chain or equivalent experience with a demonstrated record of solid achievements.
- At least 5 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry preferably in areas of in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Technology, Regulatory, Quality or Procurement.
- Experience working in both strategic and tactical space
- Strong project management skills with the capability to collaborate and influence cross-functionally.
- Flexibility with working schedule and availability to travel.
- Solid understanding of global pharmaceutical supply chains and network strategy’s intent, as well as the project objectives and timelines.
- Skilled in leading and executing within multifaceted project environments with a small to large cross functional team.
- Strong background in pharmaceutical source of supply changes and technical transfers.
- Financial acumen of complex business cases and how to drive realization of benefits throughout their life cycle.
- Strong communications skills, proactively sharing information to keep others updated and ability to present large amounts of complex information clearly
- Proficient in English and Business level in Japanese language

- Ability to communicate effectively; proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, communicate across functions and levels of the organization, ability to tailor message to audience
- Demonstrate understanding of the commercial
- and regulatory strategies, budget management and forecasting.
- Must possess strong analytical, data mining and problem-solving skills and be proficient in the use of business software (including MS Excel, MS Powerpoint, MS Teams and MS Project).
- Ability to evaluate data and information from multiple sources, organize information in a logical way and independently solve problems.
- Skill in proactively sharing information to keep others updated and ability to present large amounts of complex information clearly.
- Ability to identify process inefficiencies and adapt and develop/improve work processes.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team to achieve a common goal.
- Ability to influence without direct authority.
- Ability to drive deliverables and build plans based on a critical path and interdependencies.
