Maverick International School is currently seeking a skilled and creative Video Editor to join our team and contribute to the production of engaging video content. We are looking for someone with a passion for storytelling, a keen eye for detail, and expertise in video editing techniques. Responsibilities: - Edit and post-produce videos to create high-quality, visually appealing content that aligns with the school's brand and objectives. - Collaborate with the media department and videographers to assemble raw footage and turn it into polished videos. - Trim and rearrange footage to create a cohesive story, ensuring proper pacing, timing, and flow. - Enhance videos with effects, transitions, music, graphics, and animations to elevate their impact. - Color grade and adjust video footage to maintain visual consistency and enhance the overall aesthetic. - Ensure audio quality by cleaning up audio, adding background music, voice-overs, and sound effects when necessary. - Manage and organize video files, maintaining an efficient and accessible video library. - Stay updated with the latest video editing software, techniques, and trends to continually improve the quality of work. - Collaborate with the marketing team to create video content for promotional campaigns and social media platforms. Requirements: - Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Qualification, or relevant experience in video editing or a related field. - Proven experience as a video editor, with a strong portfolio demonstrating proficiency in video editing software and techniques. - Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve. - Strong understanding of video composition, storytelling, pacing, and timing. - Knowledge of color grading, audio editing, and motion graphics is a plus. - Attention to detail and a creative mindset to bring storytelling elements to life through editing. - Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with different stakeholders. - Familiarity with educational environments or experience in editing educational content is a plus.
