**JOB DESCRIPTION OF ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER OF IT**
The Assistant General Manager of IT plays a crucial role in ensuring the organization's IT capabilities align with business objectives, promoting innovation, efficiency, and security across the technology landscape.
**Responsibilities**:
- **Strategic Planning**:
- Collaborate with the General Manager of IT to develop and implement the IT strategy aligned with overall business objectives.
- Assist in defining the technology roadmap and ensuring its integration with the company's strategic plans.
- **Team Leadership**:
- Provide leadership and guidance to the IT team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Assist in recruiting, training, and developing IT staff to enhance their skills and capabilities.
- **Project Management**:
- Oversee the planning and execution of IT projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
- Work closely with project managers to monitor progress and mitigate risks.
- **Infrastructure Management**:
- Collaborate with the IT team to maintain and optimize the organization's technology infrastructure.
- Implement and manage IT policies and procedures to ensure security and compliance.
- **Vendor Management**:
- Evaluate, negotiate, and manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers.
- Ensure that vendor contracts and service level agreements are in line with business needs.
- **Budget Oversight**:
- Assist in the development and management of the IT budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficient resource allocation.
- Monitor expenses and recommend adjustments to meet financial goals.
- **Cybersecurity and Risk Management**:
- Work with the cybersecurity team to develop and implement strategies for safeguarding the organization's data and systems.
- Identify and address potential security risks and vulnerabilities.
- **Stakeholder Communication**:
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, understanding their technology needs and providing solutions.
- Collaborate with other department heads to ensure seamless integration of IT solutions across the organization.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in a leadership role within IT management.
- Strong understanding of information technology, including infrastructure, software development, and cybersecurity.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
- Ability to think strategically and solve complex problems.
- Familiarity with industry best practices and emerging technologies.
- Background from retail industry is an added advantage.
Pay: RM7,500.00 - RM9,500.00 per month
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
