**Job Description: Waiter/Waitress**

**Position**: Waiter/Waitress
**Location**: Bandar Seremban
**Reports to**: Restaurant Manager

**Job Summary**:A waiter/waitress is responsible for providing excellent customer service, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring an enjoyable dining experience for our guests. This role requires a friendly and attentive demeanor, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Greeting and Seating Guests**:Warmly welcome guests upon arrival.
Escort guests to their tables and present menus.

**Taking Orders**:Provide menu recommendations and answer customer questions.
Take accurate food and beverage orders from guests.

**Order Management**:Relay orders to the kitchen and bar staff promptly.
Ensure orders are prepared and served in a timely manner.

**Food and Beverage Service**:Serve food and drinks to guests with a courteous and attentive attitude.
Ensure correct placement of dishes and utensils.

**Quality Checks**:Conduct quality checks on food and drinks to ensure they meet customer expectations.
Address any issues or concerns promptly and professionally.

**Upselling**:Suggest additional menu items, specials, or promotions to enhance the dining experience.
Respect customers' choices and avoid pushy upselling.

**Customer Interaction**:Maintain a positive and engaging attitude with guests.
Address any guest requests or special needs.

**Cleanliness and Organization**:Set and reset tables following restaurant standards.
Ensure cleanliness and orderliness of dining areas.

**Payment Processing**:Present bills to customers and process payments accurately.
Handle cash, credit/debit cards, and mobile payments securely and responsibly.

**Teamwork**:Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure seamless service.
Assist fellow team members as needed.

**Knowledge and Training**:Stay informed about menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods.
Participate in ongoing training and development programs.

**Qualifications and Requirements**:

- High school, diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a waiter/waitress is a plus but not required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy trays.
- Strong attention to detail and a positive attitude.
- Customer-oriented mindset and a passion for delivering exceptional service.
- Familiarity with restaurant POS systems is beneficial.
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

As a waiter/waitress ,you play a crucial role in creating memorable dining experiences for our guests. Your friendly and attentive service contributes to the overall success and reputation of our restaurant.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary, Internship, Fresh graduate, Student job
Part-time hours: 20 per week

**Salary**: From RM1,500.00 per month
