**Job Purpose**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle: requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and documentation.
- Develop clean, efficient, and scalable Java code using modern frameworks (Spring Boot, Vert.x, etc.).
- Design and implement microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
- Collaborate closely with frontend developers, product managers, QA engineers, and DevOps teams.
- Troubleshoot and debug production issues, and provide on-call technical support when needed.
- Continuously optimize system performance and reliability.
- Write and maintain unit, integration, and automated tests.
- Maintain high code quality through code reviews and adherence to coding standards.
- Contribute to Agile/Scrum ceremonies (daily standups, sprint planning, retrospectives).

**Qualifications & Requirements Must-Have**:

- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in Java development.
- Proficient in Java 8 and Spring Boot, JPA, Hibernate.
- Experience in reactive programming using frameworks like Vert.x, RxJava, Spring WebFlux.
- Familiar with Java Development Tools, such as IntelliJ, eclipse, maven, gradle.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Experience in developing RESTful APIs and working with JSON/XML.
- Working knowledge of frontend technologies: JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, knockoutjs, and React.js.
- Experience in containerization technologies such as Docker, and orchestration using Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
- Experience in Agile development practices (Scrum/Kanban).
- Understanding of object-oriented design, design patterns, and software engineering best practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

**Nice to Have**:

- Familiarity with WordPress and Python scripting.
- Experience building e-commerce, payments, or financial services platforms.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Prior experience leading small development teams or mentoring junior developers.

Pay: RM4,500.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
