1. Ensures that all department staff performs duties in accordance with convention centre policy. 2. Provides professional technical consultancy services to management regarding the repair and maintenance of existing buildings and facilities and the renovation, extension or construction. 3. Implements and monitors safety policies and procedures on the convention centre property. 4. Implements and monitor in-house preventive maintenance programmed. 5. Evaluates all energy systems as air-conditioning, electrical, power, for needed upgrade, repair and maintenance. 6. Co-ordinates the required inspection of building facilities with government agencies. 7. Provides consulting service to all departments on project planning for additions or improvements. 8. Co-ordinates and monitors the activities of contractors and sub-contractors in the repair, renovation and maintenance of building facilities and those of concessions. 9. Supervises the repair, renovation and maintenance of all existing facilities as required. 10. Supervises the relocation of the convention centre or clubhouse facilities as required by management. 11. Ensure the cleanliness and readiness of the facilities provided at the convention centre/clubhouse at all time. 12. Conducts the performance appraisals of all maintenance, housekeeping and security staff and prepares guidelines and time frames for improvement. 13. Identifies department training needs, compiles and approves training materials and programmes in co-ordination with Human Resources Department. 14. Maintain high standard of turf and garden and ensure flowers and plants are at their healthiest condition. 15. Maintain convention centre to the best condition for the enjoyment of guest services. 16. Maintains and provides all Engineering, Housekeeping and Security staff with current information on emergency procedures relating to fire, theft, accident, medical emergency and other threats to convention centre/clubhouse and guest security. 17. Maintains a high standard of hygiene, clean and pressed uniforms and name badge as described in staff handbook for all Engineering, Housekeeping and Security staff. 18. Maintains a high standard of hygiene and sanitation throughout all service areas. 19. Reports any health or safety hazards on the convention centre or clubhouse property to the General Manager. 20. To perform any other duties as and when assigned by the Superior from time to time. 21. Monitors security staff by patrolling with them by auto or on foot. 22. The supervisor is also responsible for monitoring the electronic surveillance equipment used on the premises. 23. Each day the supervisor assigns areas for his officers to patrol and presents a list of potential problems his officers should be on the lookout for. 24. If someone is caught trespassing or committing another crime, the supervisor oversees the transfer of the accused person to the custody of local law enforcement personnel. 25. The supervisor works with staff to develop safety plans for the buildings he monitors. He leads periodic safety drills for employees and patrons in the business.
