As the Assistant Manager cum Sommelier at La Maison Dix wine bar, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring an elevated and memorable experience for our patrons. This position involves a combination of responsibilities, including assisting in daily operations, providing personalized service to guests, and showcasing your expertise as a sommelier to enhance the overall wine-drinking experience.

**Responsibilities**:
**Wine Selection and Curation**
1. Collaborate with the head sommelier to curate and expand the wine selection.
2. Stay informed about industry trends, new releases, and emerging vineyards to enhance the wine list.

**Customer Service**
1. Provide exceptional customer service by guiding patrons through the wine selection based on their preferences and food choices.
2. Offer recommendations for wine pairings to enhance the overall dining experience.

**Assist in Operations**
1. Support day-to-day operations, including opening and closing procedures, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring a well-organized wine cellar.
2. Assist in inventory management, stock replenishment, and order placement.

**Wine Education**
1. Conduct wine tastings, masterclasses, and events to educate patrons about the nuances of different wines and wine regions.
2. Share your knowledge and passion for wine with staff members to enhance their understanding and sales skills.

**Collaboration**
1. Collaborate with the kitchen and service staff to ensure seamless coordination between food and wine offerings.
2. Work closely with the management team to contribute ideas for promotions, events, and marketing strategies.

**Required Skills**:
1. Minimum WSET Level 2 or CMS Level 1
2. Minimum 3 years working experience in hospitality industry
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
4. Strong customer service orientation and attention to detail
5. Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
6. Fluent in English
7. Experience in restaurants service team (preferred)
