**JOB DESCRIPTION**
- Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with business stakeholders to elicit, analyze, document, and prioritize business requirements related to insurance processes and systems.
- Business Process Analysis: Evaluate existing business processes within the insurance domain, identify inefficiencies, and propose optimized solutions to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Functional Specification Development: Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications, including use cases, user stories, process flows, and data models, to guide IT system development and implementation.
- Stakeholder Management: Facilitate communication and collaboration between business users, IT developers, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle to ensure alignment of business objectives and technical solutions.
- Solution Design Support: Work closely with solution architects and developers to design innovative and feasible solutions that meet business requirements while adhering to technical constraints and best practices.
- Testing and Validation: Collaborate with QA teams to define test cases, conduct user acceptance testing (UAT), and validate that delivered solutions meet business requirements and quality standards.
- Change Management: Support change management activities, including user training, documentation preparation, and post-implementation support, to ensure smooth transition and adoption of new systems and processes.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about regulatory changes and industry trends affecting the insurance domain, ensuring that IT solutions are compliant with relevant regulations and standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOX).
- Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and innovation to drive ongoing improvements in efficiency, effectiveness, and customer satisfaction.
- Knowledge Sharing: Share domain expertise and best practices with colleagues, mentor junior team members, and contribute to the development of internal knowledge repositories and training materials.
**REQUIREMENTS**
- 5+ years of experience as a business analyst, preferably in the insurance or financial services industry, with a strong understanding of insurance products, processes, and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in business analysis techniques and tools, such as requirements elicitation, process modeling, data analysis, and user acceptance testing.
- Solid understanding of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) and experience working in cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders, including business users, IT developers, executives, and external vendors.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a detail-oriented mindset and a track record of delivering high-quality solutions on time and within budget.
- Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies, methodologies, and domain knowledge to stay abreast of industry trends and best practices.
- Knowledge of insurance industry standards and regulations and experience with insurance core systems is highly desirable.
