**a) Monitor and Maintain Safety Measures.**
- Adhere to all established safe work practices, administration policies and procedures as well as all governmental regulations.
- Prepare the facility site for ship to ship transfer operation, loading/discharging liquid petroleum cargoes, assisting in different procedures and handling all gear.

**b) Inspect, Maintenance, Dismantle, Repair and Reassemble.**
- Regularly inspects and overhauls all safety, oil spill prevention, STS equipment and operate a maintenance schedule for the upkeep of the equipment, structure and fittings.
- Testing, labelling and repair works of oil spill prevention equipment, hoses and fenders under direct supervision of the Technical Executive.
- Overhauling and fitting any standing or loose rigging.
- Use correct procedures and correct method of dismantling.
- Identified, checked and prepared components.

**c) Use of Condition Monitoring on Equipment.**
- Adjust instruments to meet the operating specification with minimum disruption to any ongoing activities and minimum waste of resources.
- Make adjustments, within procedural limits, to fine-tune the process in order to achieve conformance standards.

**d) Diagnose faults in Equipment.**
- Carry out Visual, Close and Detailed inspections on equipment.
- Use the results of inspections to determine the appropriate actions to take.

**e) Monitor and Maintain Pollution Control Measures.**
- Discharges garbage or waste to the environment are identified, halted where possible, and reported according to policy, procedure and regulation.
- Relevant PPE is used to deal with using company procedures
- Equipment, waste or other materials for disposal are dealt with according to the correct procedure.
- Environmental protection and pollution control are enforced effectively with colleagues, subordinates and subcontractors.
- Perform various marine duties such as checking for oil spills or other pollutants around ports and harbours, and patrolling beaches.

**f) Emergency Response**
- Overview Company’s Emergency Response Plan role.
- Demonstrate competence during Emergency Response Drills and training exercises

**g) Units of Competence**
- Dismantle, reassemble, monitor, maintain condition and diagnose fault of the equipment.
- Monitor and Maintain Pollution Control Measures.
- Contribute to The Health and Safety of the Working Environment.
- Emergency Response Plan Role.
