Machinist (Turning)

Work effectively with team to ensure successful delivery to customer
- The CNC Machinist will set up and operation of diverse types of equipment used to manufacture various types of medical instruments/implants within established manufacturing processes, GMP's, and quality requirements
- Produce parts in accordance with the production plan provided by the manufacturing supervisor
- Optimize production by performing secondary work such as deburring, vibratory, and any hand work preparing for the next job, organizing and cleaning the cell, and helping others to do the same while machines are running
- Perform first piece inspection and in-process quality checks
- Provide input to cell leader/supervisor to resolve quality problems and improve cell operations
- Stay on task and within the cell to help meet or beat the team’s production requirements
- Under limited supervision, set-up and operate CNC Lathes
- Inspect completed material utilizing hand inspection equipment, ie
- Inspect first piece and in process material utilizing visual and hand inspection equipment Cnc Turning Programmer Requirements:

- Mastery of high speed machining and tool path optimization
- Passionate about machining
- Will be using micrometers and other hand tools
- Working knowledge of CNC lathes, CNC machining centres & CNC horizontal borers
