**Operation Manager**

**Location : Senawang Plant**

**Working Days : 5 days**

**Nature of business : Established manufacturing company specialise in fastener for industrial & automotive usage**

**Key Responsibilities**

**Operational Excellence**:

- Daily follow up to ensure primary processes, including cold forming, cold heading, and screw machining, consistently achieve production output targets.
- Daily follow up on internal non-conformance lots, drive improvement actions, and take action for disposition within 24 hours.
- Daily work the floor to ensure good practices and discipline of workers, e.g., punctuality, no mobile phone use during working time, no smoking during working time, etc.

**Lean Manufacturing Practices**:

- Champion lean manufacturing principles to eliminate waste, improve flow, and increase productivity.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation and implement sustainable solutions.

**Continuous Improvement**:

- Weekly drive Continuous Improvement projects (CIP), providing necessary guidance to the team and ensuring adherence to schedules for timely completion.
- Weekly drive SMED (Single Minute Exchange Die) projects rolled over to all primary processes in the Continuous Improvement Program (CIP).
- Utilize data-driven decision-making to optimize operations, enhance yield, quality, and machine productivity.
- Improve OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) for primary processes.
- Improve Man-to-Machine Ratio for primary processes.
- Drive monthly Cost Reduction (CR) for Operational Department.

**Process Development**:

- Lead the development and optimization of manufacturing processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Innovate and implement new technologies and methodologies to enhance production capabilities.

**Project and Product Management**:

- Manage the transfer, development, and qualification of new projects and products.
- Oversee new product introduction (NPI) projects to ensure seamless integration into production.

**Team Leadership**:

- Manage and oversee all operation activities carried out by subordinates, ensuring their decisions align with the company’s Quality System and objectives.
- Mentor and develop production and engineering team members to build a high-performance culture.

**Quality and Compliance**:

- Ensure compliance with IATF16949 and ISO9001/ISO14001 requirements in all engineering activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to uphold quality standards and meet customer expectations.

**Customer Focus Initiatives**:

- Drive the operation and engineering teams to achieve 4-Ones targets, including:

- 1-hour response to customer inquiry.
- 1-day reply for quotation.
- 1-week sample preparation.
- 1-month volume order readiness.
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering, or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the manufacturing industry, with a focus on fastener, machining, cold forging, metal stamping, or similar fields.
- System Knowledge: Strong knowledge of IATF16949 and ISO9001 requirements. Proficiency in MS Office and CAD tools is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proven expertise in mechanical and machining or forging capabilities.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams.
- Language: Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia, English, and Mandarin (to liaise with the China plant).
