We are seeking a qualified and experienced **CAMO Manager** to oversee and manage the Continuing Airworthiness Management Organization (CAMO) functions for our aircraft fleet.
The CAMO Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all aircraft under the company's management comply with the airworthiness requirements established by the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM), as well as international aviation safety standards.
This role requires a highly skilled professional with a strong background in aviation maintenance, regulatory compliance, and airworthiness management.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Regulatory Compliance**: Ensure full compliance with CAAM regulations, including **CAR Parts 39, 66, 145**, and **M**, as well as other relevant Malaysian and international aviation safety regulations.
- **Maintenance Program Oversight**: Develop, implement, and maintain the aircraft maintenance program in line with CAAM's requirements and manufacturers' specifications, ensuring that all necessary maintenance activities are performed on time.
- **Airworthiness Management**: Ensure all aircraft in the fleet are maintained in an airworthy condition and monitor their compliance with airworthiness directives (ADs) issued by CAAM or other regulatory bodies.
- **Record Keeping**: Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of all aircraft inspections, maintenance, modifications, repairs, and compliance documentation as per CAAM’s regulations.
- **Safety and Quality Management**: Ensure the implementation and maintenance of a Safety Management System (SMS) in accordance with CAAM guidelines, proactively identifying and mitigating safety risks.
- **Contractor Management**: Manage and coordinate third-party maintenance service providers, ensuring they meet the required safety and quality standards for aircraft maintenance.
- **Reporting and Auditing**: Prepare and submit reports on the airworthiness status of the fleet to senior management and CAAM as required. Conduct internal audits to ensure continuous compliance with all airworthiness and safety regulations.
- **Training and Development**: Oversee the training and development of personnel involved in airworthiness and maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with CAAM Part 66 and other relevant regulatory requirements.
- **Problem Resolution**: Investigate and resolve any airworthiness issues or incidents, including ensuring that corrective actions are taken promptly and effectively.
- **Liaison with Authorities**: Serve as the main point of contact between the organization and CAAM, managing the approval processes for maintenance programs, airworthiness certifications, and other regulatory matters.
**Key Qualifications**:
- **Educational Background**: A relevant Bachelor's degree in Aviation, Aeronautical Engineering, or related field. A higher qualification in aviation management or engineering is a plus.
- **Experience**: At least 5 years of experience in aviation maintenance, airworthiness management, or a related field, with a minimum of 3 years in a managerial role within a Continuing Airworthiness Management Organization (CAMO) or Maintenance Organization (Part 145).
- **Licensing**: A valid **CAAM Aircraft Maintenance Engineer License (AMEL)**, preferably with a **Type Rating** on aircraft in the fleet, and a **CAMO-approved qualification** under **CAAM Part M**.
- **Regulatory Knowledge**: In-depth knowledge of CAAM’s regulations (**CAR Parts 39, 66, 145, M**) and international standards (ICAO).
- **Certifications**: CAAM-approved CAMO certification or equivalent.
- **Experience with Safety Management Systems (SMS)**: Strong understanding and experience in implementing SMS in compliance with CAAM and ICAO standards.
