The **Technician/ Handyman** is responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks to ensure that facilities are well-maintained, safe, and in optimal operating condition. This role includes preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and fixing issues related to plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, painting, and general club repairs.
**Job Description and Responsibilities**:
- Inspect and identify club equipment issues, such as leaks, cracks, or electrical malfunctions.
- Repair minor plumbing issues, such as leaking taps, clogged drains, or replacing fixtures.
- Conduct basic electrical repairs, such as replacing bulbs, fixing sockets, or wiring.
- Perform carpentry tasks like fixing doors, assembling furniture, or repairing shelves.
- Handle painting and patchwork as and when required.
- Conduct routine inspections of facilities to identify potential maintenance needs.
- Report and assist with larger repairs requiring specialized expertise.
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls and resolve issues efficiently.
- Identify potential hazards and report them to management.
- Adhere to safety protocols while performing maintenance tasks.
- Maintain an inventory of tools and supplies needed for repairs. Ensure proper use, storage, and care of all tools and equipment.
- Assist in scheduling and coordinating with vendors or contractors for specialized repairs.
- Identify suppliers, obtain quotes, compare prices and purchase materials, tools, and equipment necessary for facility maintenance and operations.
**Skills & Qualifications Requirements**
- Solid knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing, and mechanical equipment. Ability to diagnose and repair technical issues efficiently.
- Minimum 1-2 years experience in facility maintenance, with hands-on technical expertise in electrical, & plumbing repairs.
- Proficiency in facility maintenance, including repair and upkeep of equipment and systems.
- Experience in sourcing, purchasing, negotiating with vendors/suppliers for technical tools, equipment and services.
- Good communication skills to liaise with team members and report issues
Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
