**Key Responsibilities**:

- Plan, implement and monitor safety and health system, conduct risk assessment to minimize hazards to improve safety and health environment of the organization.
- Identify and report of any safety deficiency and research the practicable steps available to eliminate, isolate, or minimize hazards.
- Establish, plan, review and maintain HSE policies, guidelines and practices abreast with HSE legislation.
- Conduct accident and incident investigation and provide prevention and improvement action plan to eliminate/minimize recurrence of such accidents.
- Liaise with relevant authorities (BOMBA, DOSH, DOE, etc.) in ensuring HSE compliance of the system.
- Conduct awareness training, coordinate internal audit in ensuring compliance with management system ISO14001:2015.
- Responsible for management of scheduled waste including site monitoring and chemical handling training, record keeping and ensure compliance with rules & regulations.
- Organize and coordinate in-house HSE training. Provide safety briefing/induction for managers, employees and visitors when necessary.
- Plan and propose yearly HSE training plan with budget to the management and coordinate with HR for training execution.
- Perform inspection and monitoring on the housekeeping, safety handling and safety work practices within the organization as in compliance with HSE requirements.
- Organize and coordinate Safety & Health Committee meeting and prepare minutes of meeting.
- Facilitate training of Safety and Emergency Response team.
- Organize and coordinate periodic fire drill and evacuation training, and other emergency drill training as needed.
- Maintain competency by constantly keeping up to date with current regulations, upgrading skills and knowledge as a certified SHO.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Diploma or Degree in Engineering/Science - Occupational Safety & Health, or Environmental field of study.
- Attended Safety & Health Officer course and pass all papers or, Certified Safety & Health Officer by DOSH.
- Certified Environmental Professional In Scheduled Waste Management (CePSWaM) (Optional)
- At least three years experience working in field of Health and Safety.
