As a
**Financial Accountant** you will be responsible for managing Malaysia's full set of accounts, financial and management reporting, financial analysis, ensuring healthy working capital for business operations, drive workflow process improvements, making sure that local tax legislation are compliant with local statutory requirements and project management.

Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Accurate and timely completion of all monthly / quarterly financial and management and annual reports. Making sure that all reports adhere to accounting standards, rules & regulations, policy & procedures.
- Ensure integrity of general ledger, perform balance sheet review monthly, ensure proper revenue recognition is as per accounting policy and currency revaluations are update to date
- Continuously monitors & updates cash flow weekly. Ensure cash flow is well managed. Alerts respective financial controller & take necessary actions to ensure cash flow is positive.
- Oversee local tax and ensure all tax payments are duly made. Complies with all local legislative requirements.
- Monitors and analyses department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy. Assist in the development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department.
- Support regional finance for financial analysis (benchmarks, business cases, pipeline record, etc.). Support the controller with special projects and workflow process improvements.
- Drive project management (costs & expenses management, special project, etc) and work with regional team. Collaborates with the other finance department managers to support overall department goals and objectives. Participate in regional operational excellence projects.

In support of the responsibilities above, we're looking for the following:

- **Willing to work on a 6 months fixed term basis.**:

- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting or Finance.
- At least 2 years experience in a related field.
- Keen attention to details. Can work under pressure and consistently meets deadlines.
- Able to lead a small high performing team and can challenge the current process and make improvements.
- Strong communication skills and organisational ability. Excellent written and verbal English. Ability to speak in other languages will be an added advantage.
