1. Operations Management

This is the core of the role, overseeing the daily physical flow of goods.
- **Receiving**: Oversee the unloading of incoming shipments, verify quantities and quality against purchase orders, and ensure accurate data entry into the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- **Storage & Putaway**: Manage the efficient storage of goods, optimizing space utilization and ensuring products are located logically for easy picking (e.g., fast-moving items near shipping).
- **Inventory Control**: Maintain accurate inventory levels through cycle counts, annual physical inventories, and reconciling any discrepancies. This is critical for financial reporting and preventing stockouts.
- **Order Fulfillment (Picking & Packing)**: Supervise the process of accurately picking customer orders, packing them securely to prevent damage, and labeling them correctly.

2. Team Leadership & Management
- **Staffing**: Recruit, hire, train, and onboard new warehouse staff (e.g., forklift operators, pickers, packers, receivers).
- **Scheduling**: Create and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage for all shifts and operational peaks.
- **Performance Management**: Set performance goals, conduct regular reviews, provide coaching and feedback, and handle disciplinary actions when necessary.
- **Training & Development**: Ensure all team members are trained on standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety protocols, and equipment operation.

3. Health, Safety, and Compliance

This is a non-negotiable and critical area of responsibility.
- **Safety Culture**: Promote a strong culture of safety, ensuring compliance with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) and other local regulations.
- **Protocols & Equipment**: Implement and enforce safety procedures, including proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), lockout/tagout, and safe material handling techniques.
- **Inspections**: Conduct regular safety inspections of the facility and equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet racks) to identify and mitigate hazards.

4. Performance & Analytics
- **Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)**: Track and analyze metrics such as:

- Order Accuracy Rate
- On-Time Shipping Rate
- Inventory Accuracy
- Picking/Packing Productivity (lines/units per hour)
- Damage Rates
- Warehouse Capacity Utilization
- **Reporting**: Generate regular reports on warehouse performance for senior management.
- **Continuous Improvement**: Use data to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for cost savings. Lead initiatives like Lean or 5S to improve processes.

5. Inventory & Systems Management
- **Inventory Planning**: Work with procurement and planning teams to forecast space and labor needs based on inventory trends and sales forecasts.
- **WMS Expertise**: Be the primary expert and administrator for the Warehouse Management System, ensuring it is used effectively and data is reliable.
- **Process Documentation**: Develop, maintain, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all warehouse activities.

6. Financial & Vendor Management
- **Budgeting**: Help develop and manage the warehouse operating budget.
- **Cost Control**: Control labor costs, overtime, and other operational expenses (e.g., packaging supplies, equipment maintenance).
- **Vendor Relations**: Manage relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) providers, freight carriers, and other service vendors.

Typical Requirements & Qualifications:

- **Education**: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field is often preferred, though significant experience can substitute.
- **Experience**: 5+ years of experience in a warehouse or logistics environment, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or management role.
- **Technical Skills**: Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (like SAP or Oracle), and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- **Hard Skills**: Deep knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management principles, and supply chain logistics.
- **Soft Skills**:

- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Problem-solving and analytical thinking.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
