Supervisor

Supervisor We are looking for a person to be responsible for ensuring the effective operation of a Café, including supervising staff, stock management, preparing high quality products and providing successful customer care. Job Responsibilities Customer Success The café supervisor oversees the front of house assistants, and acts as the coordinator with the kitchen. Ensure that guests register with our loyalty program. Supervise that all guests feel welcome & pleasant and are given responsive, friendly and courteous service at all times. To be professional, polite and well presented whilst providing and maintaining excellent customer care at all times.Celebrate and join the birthday song celebration birthday cakes. (If any) Investigate and resolve complaints regarding food quality and service. Prepare barista service tasks, such as clearing tables, and serving food and drinks when necessary. Smooth Operation Be responsible for the smooth running of the café during events this will include catering, hosting and late night opening, working with Operations team and Café and Events Manager. Promote a working culture that acts in a consistent manner in accordance with our mission. Adherence to policies and procedures Ensure that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to the cafe’s standard recipes, portioning, cooking and serving standards. Cash handling, float management and till reconciliation daily. Staff training on till operations, and implementing till and pricing updates with the Manager. Prompt and accurate cashing up at the end of the day, and transfer of money into safe. Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas to ensure efficient service and according to standards. Training Key holder responsibilities include opening up and closing down and ensuring the café is secure at all times. Setting up and closing down the café each day. Report on a weekly basis, or as otherwise agreed, to the manager on all relevant issues or general concerns. Barista Training to be ongoing, including the development of team members and refresher training as products develop, to the chosen Coffee suppliers Barista standards. Attending team, front of house and staff meetings as appropriate Cleaning and Maintenance Schedule Ensure that the team follows the cleaning schedule. Ensure the coffee machines and other equipments (eg cake chiller, blender, chiller) are in good working order and maintained on a regular basis Compliance with MBSJ and KKM regulations. To maintain the current 90% hygiene rating from MBSJ. Maintain a clean and tidy shop/cafe area. Including clearing of tables, floors and waste areas To undertake any other duties and responsibilities required at any time commensurate with the grade of the post. Job Requirements Cash POS register Online Delivery App ( Eatmol, Grabfood ) Able to resolve customer complaints Customer Service App (UMAI) Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment Active listening and effective communication skills. Team spirit Flexibility to work in shifts High school diploma; food safety training and typhoid injection is a mandate
