Chargeman - Electrician

**Job Description Summary**: Monitor and supervise of power supply, air-conditioning system, lift, technical gases and shop air and other essential services. Assist in the general works planning and management of the Department.

**Role Overview**:

- Ensure that all machines are safe for operations and production line is smooth
- Carry out preventive maintenance and repair works on machine breakdown
- Repair, Inspect, Troubleshooting, Maintenance and Testing of hydraulic equipment such as pumps, motors, control valves and cylinder
- Perform scheduled maintenance and servicing of mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment and component.
- Conduct preventive maintenance as per PM schedule and specification.
- Ensure proper documentation and data integrity of PM results. Able to provide simple report on downtime and corrective & preventive action taken
- Basic knowledge in PLC and its trouble shooting Undertakes building repair works, and completes them within the given timeframe.
- Carries out general repair, painting, toiletry fitting, and plumbing works according to standard.
- Troubleshoots and undertakes hands on repair works for any issues relating to building structure promptly.
- Coordinates repair works with suppliers and/or contractors.
- Ensure sufficient stock level for maintenance parts in the inventory.
- Respond to emergency calls for any troubleshooting required at site.
- Ensure maintenance work done comply to local regulatory, corporate safety and industrial standards
- Perform shift duties to support production.
- Maintain good housekeeping and safety practices in the production and maintenance support areas.
- Assist Engineers in carrying out engineering evaluations/experiments/ troubleshooting.
- Provide equipment support and sustain production operation throughout with minimum machine breakdowns and repairing time
- Provide feedback and give suggestions to improve equipment stability and performance.
- Assist new colleagues on their On-the-Job-Training (OJT) by acting as their buddy.
- Participate and contribute actively in continuous improvement activities.
- Responsible to day to day electrical/machinery maintenance and repair works
- Provide support in the service, repair and maintenance of all facilities
- Preventive maintenance of facilities, machines and equipment on a day-to day basis Service, diagnose and rectify faulty electrical and mechanical components and air-conditioning equipment LV and HV Switching - depends on the level.
- Breaker Servicing. Electrical Panel responsibility (SSB, MSB, VCB and Transformer room) - also depends on the level.
- Update on Condition of the protection relay: Calibration. Make sure the electrical installation in good condition (switchgear) Monitoring power consumption:

- Advice on power consumption (in real time of load factories)
- Handling Genset Changeover Monitor Genset condition.
- Housekeeping of Electrical installation Room.
- Advice on the condition of Electrical Switchgear for new project.
- Liaise with visiting Engineer for monthly check-up of Electrical installations.
- For Emergency situation: Trip / blackout: Able to reach and attend the problems any. (Considering Public Holiday and night time)
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned by superior or Management from time to time.

**Required Qualifications**:

- Minimum Chargeman Certificate (A4 Category) from Suruhanjaya Tenaga.
- Possess of PW4 certificate from Suruhanjaya Tenaga is an added advantage.
- At least 3 years’ experience of building/factory maintenance environment.
- Possess a complete log book based on 2 years of working experience in high voltage systems validated by a competent person and the employer.

**Preferred Qualifications**:**
- Strong knowledge of electrical especially electrical system.
- Able to troubleshoot electrical faulty independently.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
- Good working knowledge in the electrical system i.e. Electrical LV/HT switch room, diesel generator and non-synchronize
