Overview / Responsibilities:
Wood has an immediate need for a Financial Accountant to join our Consulting team in Malasia based in our Kuala Lumpur office, located centrally in the CBD. We are a leader in the delivery of project, engineering and technical services and positioned for growth across APAC and the globe.

In this role you will
- Actively work with others in the Finance team as well as Project Managers, Service Line Managers and Engineers across the Consulting business
- Assist the Senior Project Accountant with close out tasks, journals and billability reporting
- Undertake credit safe checks on new clients
- Participate in financial operations of the company including working with other Wood Malaysian entitities and corporate tax submissions

Skills / Qualifications:
We are seeking a fully qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA or CIMA) with a proven track record in accounting and operational experience is essential.
- 5+ years commercial financial accounting experience
- Strong analytical mind set, inquisitive and curious and keen to set things and see things right
- Experienced working on a large ERP system such as Oracle
- Strong computer skills with solid understanding of Microsoft Office with excellent MS Excel skills
- Experience with Hyperion (HFM) would be desirable / ideal
- Proven knowledge of Financial Accounting and Accounting Standards
- Attention to detail and able to consistently meet agreed deadlines
- Smooth interpersonal skills, confidence in communcatig and the ability to work effectively within a small and connected team
- Hands-on approach and proven ability to work under pressure when circumstances demand
