**Main Objectives**:

- Responsible for the successful design, implementation, deployment, and adoption of an overall Microsoft Dynamics Business Central solution.
- Use technical expertise to integrate and optimize D365 technologies across an organization, tailoring solutions to meet developer and business needs now and in future.
- Help organizations find the right configuration of services from Microsoft and third-party providers to suit that organization's needs.
- Overall technical responsibility for delivering a D365 BC implementation, providing a robust solution that customers can be proud to own and use for their business operations.
- Liaising with the customer and advising them upon new and upcoming technologies that may benefit their business. This will likely involve products outside the direct D365 BC ecosystem, such as Power Platform.
- Coordinate the development team’s usage of Azure DevOps, ensuring a robust code-branching strategy is in place and ensuring adherence to ticket/issue status so that other users of DevOps have an accurate view of any inflight developments.
- Ensure that multiple development products need work together correctly and consistently, with quality and governance across the entire solution. This will include reviews of code, technical documentation, and test coverage.

**Mandatory skills**
- Minimum of seven years of development experience with Dynamics 365 BC, with a proven track record of quality delivery
- A leader in their field and aspire to grow into a Solution Architect role in the near future.
- Hands-on experience with Visual Studio Code and the AL Language extension.
- In-depth knowledge to speak with authority and address any questions raised by the customer.
- Ability to deal with complex technical challenges and be able to work with others or to work independently to design the correct solution.
- Solid understanding of BC development concepts around extensibility, packages, models
- Solid understanding of BC functionality so that the technical impact of customisations can be appropriately assessed, and the correct solution can be delivered. This may involve rejecting a customisation request with subsequent justification.
- Architected or Contributed to Integration Development using various API methods, such as RESTful and others.
- Ability to set up and manage an Azure DevOps project, complete with ticket management, branching strategy, code management etc., according to Best Practices.
- Ability to manage a regional team of developers to provide high-quality deliverables, including code reviews (customisations) and technical documentation.
- Ability to discuss technical issues with customers stakeholders who may not have a technical background.
- Good team motivator and mentor, encouraging less experienced team members to deliver better solutions and broaden their knowledge without impacting delivery timescales.
- Ability to coordinate and guarantee quality delivery of technical solutions
- Knowledge of the Power Platform offerings and recognising where they may be utilised to fulfil a requirement.
- Collaborate with sa.global internal stakeholders in the Programme Management Framework
- Comfortable in a customer-facing environment

**Desired skills**
- Experience in integrating with other business systems
- Experience in working with multi-country teams
- Bachelor’s degree in Computing or similar.
- Experience working with other supporting technologies such as Power Apps, Power Automate and PowerBI

**Useful skills**
- Experience in.Net MVC development
- LS Retail implementation or other ISV add-ons
- Knowledge of ETL Tools and Data Models

A solution architect may be expert on warehouse processes, while another is an expert on continuous implementation/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes with Azure Pipelines and GitHub Actions.
