About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on Junior Food Technologist to support our R&D and packaging efforts across our vegetable and value-added product lines (e.g. steamed corn, tray-packed vegetables). You’ll work closely with our senior team and external advisors to experiment, test, and improve how we keep fresh food looking good, tasting great, and lasting longer.

This is a field + lab-based role—perfect for someone who’s curious, practical, and excited to be part of a growing food innovation journey.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist in developing and testing new packaging and preservation methods (e.g. cling wrap, vacuum seal, retort pouches)
- Monitor and record shelf-life trials across different temperature and packaging conditions
- Operate basic food processing equipment (retort machine, cling wrapper, vacuum sealer, etc.)
- Help test for product quality and food safety (texture, smell, colour, microbial risk)
- Document trial results, packaging parameters, and observations for continuous improvement
- Source and test new trays, wraps, films, and absorbent pads for produce
- Assist in setting up SOPs for safe packing and post-harvest handling
- Coordinate with farm and warehouse teams to prepare samples or batches for testing
- Support in preparing documentation for certifications (MESTI, HACCP, Halal, etc.)

**Requirements**:

- Diploma or Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or related field
- 0-2 years of experience in food production, R&D, QA, or packaging preferred
- Familiar with basic food safety practices and post-harvest handling
- Comfortable working in both lab and field/packing environments
- Detail-oriented and organized in data recording and follow-ups
- Able to work independently, ask questions, and troubleshoot with guidance
- Bonus: Experience with cling film wrapping, vacuum sealing, or retort is a plus

**Job Types**: Full-time, Contract, Temporary, Fresh graduate
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
