**Key Role Objectives: -**
The Assistant General Manager for the Express Bus Department at Mara Liner Sdn Bhd is responsible for overseeing all operations, strategies, and staff within the department. The AGM ensures efficient and safe transportation services, aiming for high customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
**Principle Accountabilities:

1. Lead and manage the Express Bus Department, training and performance management of staff.
2. Develop and implement departmental goals, policies and procedures.
3. Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations and safety standards.
4. Oversee daily operations of the express bus services, ensuring timely and reliable service.
5. Monitor and improve operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
6. Ensure all buses are well-maintained and meet safety standards.
7. Develop and implement long-term strategies to grow and improve the express bus services.
8. Analyze market trends and customer feedback to identify opportunities for improvement and expansion.
9. Prepare and manage departmental budgets, ensuring financial targets are met.
10. Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through effective service delivery.
11. Handle escalated customer complaints and resolve issues promptly and efficiently.
12. Implement customer feedback mechanisms and drive continuous service improvement.
13. Ensure all operations comply with transportation regulations and safety standards.
14. Work closely with other departments to ensure cohesive and efficient operations.
15. Maintain effective communication channels within the department and with external partners.
16. Prepare regular reports on departmental performance, including financial, operational, and safety metrics.
17. Use data analysis to drive decision-making and improve service delivery.
Provide insights and recommendations to senior management.
**Job Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Transportation Management, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
- At least 10 years of experience in the transportation industry, with a minimum of 5 years in a managerial role.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ensure accuracy and thoroughness in all aspects of work.
- Proactive and able to work independently with mínimal supervision.
- In-depth knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards.
- Proficiency in using transportation management system / software and Microsoft Office Suite.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 24 months
Pay: RM5,500.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
