**JD Runner /Service Staff**

We are looking for a competent Restaurant Server to take and deliver orders for our restaurant group’s Kaiseki. Your goal will be to provide high-quality service that will help us maintain and attract customers. Server responsibilities include greeting and serving customers, providing detailed information on menus, multi-tasking various front-of-the-house duties and collecting the bill. If you are able to perform well in fast-paced environments, we’d like to meet you. To be successful in this role, you should be polite with our customers and make sure they enjoy their meals.
- 1. Service Preparation_
- Preparing restaurant tables with special attention to sanitation and order
- Prepare tables by setting up linens, silverware and glasses
- Arrange table settings and maintain a tidy dining area
- 2. Front-of-House Service_
- Attending to customers upon entrance to the restaurant
- Presenting menus, serving and helping customers select food/beverages (e.g. about portions, ingredients or potential food allergies)
- Answer questions or make recommendations for complementary products
- Collaborate with other restaurant servers and kitchen/bar staff in communicating order details and any other service needs
- Issue bills and accept payment
- Check customers’ IDs to ensure they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages
- Take accurate food and drinks orders, using a POS ordering software,order slips or by memorization
- Up-sell additional products when appropriate
- Provide excellent customer service to guests
- 3. Service Management & Quality Control_
- Deal with complaints or problems with a positive attitude
- Check dishes and kitchenware for cleanliness and presentation and report any problems
- Meet with restaurant staff to review daily specials, changes on the menu and service specifications for reservations (e.g. parties)
- Follow all relevant health department regulations
- **Qualifications**:_
- Proven restaurant serving or waitering experience, in a Japanese restaurant is preferred.
- Hands-on experience in cashier duties
- Attention to cleanliness and safety
- Patience and customer-oriented approach
- Excellent people skills with a friendly attitude
- Responsible and trustworthy
- High school diploma is a plus but not required

Pay: RM2,800.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
