**About the Role**

SUPA has partnered with a global leader in AI solutions to support a Mandarin Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) project.

We’re looking for motivated individuals to transcribe short-form Mandarin audio clips into Simplified Chinese, with a focus on Malaysian, Singaporean, and Mainland Chinese accents. If you match these requirements, we invite you to join our team of AI Trainers

This is a unique opportunity to improve AI systems that understand regional and colloquial nuances of Mandarin speech. Whether you're a student, freelancer, or language enthusiast, your transcription skills will directly support the development of cutting-edge AI technologies.

**Responsibilities**
- Accurately transcribe audio clips (60 seconds or less) with mínimal to no errors. Audio in Mandarin is transcribed into Simplified Chinese text.
- Segment the spoken content in the audio clips into distinct components based on speaker changes and language switches.
- Tag speakers' and languages where applicable (Mandarin, English, Malay).
- Proactively communicate challenges, queries, or concerns with Project Managers.
- Participate in onboarding and training sessions to understand project guidelines and platform tools.
- Maintain consistent output and quality to meet daily KPIs and deadlines according to SUPA and the clients’ standards.

**Qualifications**
- Malaysian native fluent in Mandarin (listening comprehension) and written Simplified Chinese.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and basic Bahasa Melayu.
- Able to commit at least 4 hours per day (including weekends if required)
- Available for a minimum of 4 weeks from late May/early June.
- Capable of completing 60 tasks per day (each task averaging ~4 minutes to segment, tag, and transcribe).
- Possess a laptop or desktop computer with a stable internet connection.
- Detail-oriented, reliable, and excellent at self-managing time to meet and exceed deliverables.
- Prior experience in transcription, linguistics, or audio data labeling projects is a bonus
