Database Administrator for Microsoft SQL, MYSQL and other databases including database administration, backup and restoration and database performance tuning. - Provide database administration, maintenance and support activities such as installations, bug and security fixes, SQL tuning, patching, database backup or restore, database cloning, shell scripting, auditing, indexing and archival. - Setting up and administration of database replications or synchronization such as SQL cluster. - Perform day-to-day database administration tasks which include monitoring and troubleshooting of databases, as well as providing 24 x 7 databases support. - Track databases end of end-of-life product versions, and perform planning and upgrades or migrations of the databases. - Monitors database activities to ensure database security, integrity, stability and system availability. - Perform monitoring of long-running database queries and blockings; evaluate and generate reports. - Provide periodic database performance and resource utilization reports. - Ensure to comply with database security regulations, policies and guidelines. - Perform maintenance fixes, patches and security hardening. - Perform database capacity planning. - Perform maintenance of databases including maintaining up-to-date database configuration changes and inventory. - Documentation of Database Management processes, SOPs and procedures. - Support in the BCP and DR activities.
