**Position Title: R&D Assistant Manager**

**Industry: Retail**

**Location: Petaling Jaya, Selangor**

**Responsibilities**:
1. Menu Development: Lead the creation of new menu items for the retail fresh food

section, focusing on taste, presentation, nutritional value, and cost-effectiveness.

2. Innovation: Stay informed about industry trends, consumer preferences, and new

ingredients to drive innovation in menu offerings.

3. Product Testing: Conduct product testing and gather feedback to refine recipes and

ensure the quality and consistency of menu items.

4. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including culinary,

procurement, marketing, and operations, to align menu development with overall

business objectives.

5. Vendor Management: Source and evaluate potential vendors and suppliers for

ingredients, ensuring the highest quality standards are met.

6. Cost Management: Monitor ingredient costs and collaborate with procurement to

optimise sourcing without compromising quality.

7. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, labelling

requirements, and nutritional guidelines.

8. Training and Development: Provide training and support to culinary teams to ensure

proper execution of menu items and adherence to quality standards.

9. Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in menu offerings, processes,

and systems, and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.

10. Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to identify opportunities for

menu expansion and differentiation.

**Qualifications & Experiences Needed**
- Bachelor's degree/Masters in Food Science and Technology or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in the retail, CVS, FMCG, or food service industry.
- Experience in leading teams for product development or innovation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Proficient in both verbal and written English and Mandarin.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Detail-oriented, focusing on quality and continuous improvement.
- Knowledgeable about food safety regulations and compliance requirements.
- Proficient in using the Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay: RM7,000.00 - RM8,500.00 per month
