Store Retail Supervisor- Bookstore Concept

**1. Store Operations Management**
- Ensure smooth daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, POS system functionality, merchandising, and store cleanliness.
- Monitor product display standards, including replenishment, shelf height, and thematic displays according to company guidelines.
- Conduct regular store walkthroughs to ensure the cleanliness, organization, and safety of the sales floor, backroom, and work areas.

**2. Inventory & Stock Control**
- Manage goods receiving, replenishment, checking, and inventory counting processes.
- Maintain high inventory accuracy and prevent stock-out issues or expired items (food expiration for convenience stores; correct versions/ISBN for bookstores).
- Coordinate with the purchasing team on restocking needs, fast-moving items, slow-moving items, and promotional products.

**3. Team Management & Scheduling**
- Train store staff in cashiering, customer service, product knowledge, merchandising standards, and safety procedures.
- Prepare staff duty rosters to ensure sufficient manpower during key operating hours.
- Guide and supervise staff performance to improve execution, efficiency, and professionalism.

**4. Customer Service & In-store Issue Handling**
- Handle customer complaints, returns/exchanges, lost-and-found cases, and on-the-spot issues.
- Ensure staff maintain high service standards and a positive customer experience.
- Respond to unexpected situations such as product damage, POS system errors, or equipment malfunction.

**5. Sales Performance & Promotion Execution**
- Drive daily sales and support key categories (Convenience Store: FMCG, member cards; Bookstore: new releases, stationery, merchandise).
- Execute promotional activities including end-cap displays, special promotional zones, and seasonal themes.
- Review sales performance regularly and recommend strategies to increase revenue.

**6. Safety & Loss Prevention**
- Monitor and control store shrinkage caused by theft, damage, expiration, or scanning errors.
- Check CCTV operations, fire safety equipment, and overall store security.
- Ensure proper cash handling, shift handover procedures, and POS reconciliation accuracy.

**7. Administration & Reporting**
- Prepare and submit daily/weekly operational reports (sales, inventory, manpower, incidents).
- Maintain delivery documents, inventory forms, POS reports, and other administrative records.
- Support the implementation of company policies, staff training, and new operational procedures.

**Experience Requirements**

**Supervisor-level Requirements**:

- Minimum 2 years of retail experience (convenience store, bookstore, supermarket, department store, or F&B).
- At least 1 year of supervisory/leadership experience, such as:

- Senior Cashier / Senior Store Assistant
- Team Leader / Shift Leader
- Store Supervisor (any retail category)

**Skills & Competency Requirements**
- Strong knowledge of store operations (opening/closing, cashiering, stock count, replenishment, merchandising, stocktake).
- Ability to train and guide staff; strong leadership and team management skills.
- Able to independently resolve customer complaints and unexpected issues.
- Excellent time management with ability to plan schedules, handle shift changes, and manage manpower shortages.
- Basic computer skills (POS system, Excel, simple reporting).

**Working Hours**
- 6-day work week
- Shift options:

- **10:00am - 4:00pm**:

- **4:00pm - 10:00pm**

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
