Safety and Healthy Officer

a. Develop and Implement Safety Programs: Design, develop, and implement safety programs, policies, and procedures to create a safe working environment for all employees.

b. Conduct Inspections: Perform regular inspections of facilities, equipment, and work areas to identify potential hazards, identify areas for improvement and take corrective actions, ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards, and compliance with machine maintenance requirements.

c. Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments and hazard analyses to identify potential workplace hazards and develop strategies to mitigate risks.C23

d. Training and Education: Provide safety training to employees, including orientation for new hires, as well as ongoing training sessions on safety protocols, emergency procedures, and regulatory compliance. Refreshing training to be conducted within 1-2 years (PPE, noise, chemical, first aid, safety or any related training)

e. Incident Investigation: Investigate accidents, near misses, and safety incidents to determine root causes and develop corrective actions to prevent recurrence. File JKKP6 reports within 1 week of accidents. File JKKP8 reports on a yearly basis.

f. Attend to JKKP / DOSH / DOE / BOMBA officers when they come for routine visitations, audits, and plant tours. Know the facility well to ensure all questions are answered in a satisafactory manner. Respond to any queries and requests for improvement within 1 week of receiving JKKP / DOE / BOMBA letters (government instruction letter).

g. Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, training sessions, incident reports, and safety-related documentation. Prepare and submit regulatory reports as required. Hold quarterly safety committee meetings and take minutes. PPE is recorded properly. Maintenance of the machine with safety procedure are up to date and conduct the maintenance on time.

h. BOMBA: Handle all BOMBA related activities such as quarterly inspections with vendor, ensure that all equipment is in functioning condition, attend to officers during their routine visitations and audits. Take note on the remarks provided by vendor and perform as needed to secure the safety of the company and staff.

i. Handle the waste disposal of all chemicals with the company's certified vendor. Ensure that waste disposal is done every 6 months.

j. Make sure information in myKKP, myPremis, eSWIS or any related government portal are up to date and accurate.

k. Regulatory Compliance: Stay up-to-date with relevant safety regulations, codes, and standards issued by regulatory agencies such as OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) and ensure organizational compliance.

l. Safety Communication: Communicate safety policies, procedures, and initiatives to employees through meetings, memos, and training sessions to promote a culture of safety awareness, prepare memos if/when needed for public communication.

m. Safety Committees: Collaborate with safety committees or teams to address safety concerns, implement safety initiatives, and promote employee engagement in safety efforts.

n. Emergency Preparedness: Develop and implement emergency response plans, including evacuation procedures, first aid protocols, and crisis management plans.

o. Communicate regularly with all workers to ensure alignment and cooperation in maintaining cleanliness standards. Conduct necessary punishment for related people that breaks the rules.

p. License or renewal for any documents related to JKKP to be conducted on time. All calibration, machine licensing, workplace inspection approval with good grade, NRA, CHRA or any have to renew prior before the expiration.

q. Prepare SOP for safety procedure and organization chart for HSC and emergency respond team update as per ISO template (e.g. emergency floor plan, evacuation plan). Add on for any unclear or missing SOP.

s. Assist in maintenance of the building, security or any admin tasks assign by superior
