CNC Programmer

**Responsibilities**:

- JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for providing cycle time upon received enquiry from BD Dept
- Responsible to prepare programme via CAM for selected products either RFQ’s or FA or

Mass Production- Create and modify programs with company software such as Esprit, Master Cam & Gibbs

Cam. All created / modified programmes need to be documented.- Study the drawings of the components to be manufactured from RFQ stage until FA

Development- Decide various machining operations required to manufacture the components.
- Decide the sequence in which the machine operations have to be carried out and the

amount of material to be removed in each step of the sequence.- Write a program to accomplish various machining operation as per the required sequence

and dimension of a job.- Requirement for this job include the ability to program, read blue prints and do setup

work.- Design fix Turing, lifting devices and tools for CNC milling, turning.
- Develop programs for use with CNC milling - Various CNC Milling machine ranging from 3
- Axis ~ 5 Axis machining (vertical & horizontal milling)- Research and implement other technology to achieve continuous improvement targets.
- Prepare job documentation, including clearly written tooling layout.
- Read and interpret technical drawings.
- Read and understand CNC machine code (G & M programming).
- Conduct process improvement and optimization activities in support of manufacturing

yield, cycle, cost and inventory.- Contribute new ideas and positive support to improve the state of current process.
- Work within cross-functional teaming organization spanning production, quality,

engineering, sourcing etc.- Assist in solving manufacturing quality issues using root cause analysis and implementing

corrective actions.- Exercise leadership in communication business goals/ programs/ processes. Ability to

mentor new / other programmers.**REQUIREMENTS**:
- 2 years direct CNC machining/programming experience and set-up CNC Machines with

multi-axis machines.- 2 years of experience working in a machine. Ability to use Mastercam & Esprit to program

for multiple CNC platform.- Strong knowledge of Unigraphics NX experience highly preferred.
- Must be able to program utilizing models and working with multiple Axis and limited

dimension drawings.- Ability to do set-ups.
- Solid troubleshooting ability related to work holding, tool selection, speeds, feeds, and

etc.- Ability to do processing and work with engineering for router instructions.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instruction
- Ability to work well as a team member and manage and build relationships across

departments.- Details oriented, able to problem solve with excellent verbal and written communication

skills.- Safety conscious behaviour.
