**GENERAL DESCRIPTION**:
Provide basic nursing care in accordance with established standards, work collaboratively with team members, and report any incidents or issues to relevant authorities to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.

**JOB DESCRIPTION**:

- Provide basic bedside nursing care that aligns with the vision, mission, philosophy, goals, and objectives of the nursing services and the hospital.
- Notify the nursing leaders of any situation that impacts on the quality of care.
- Obtain ward report and assignment at the beginning of each shift and perform additional tasks as assigned by the Nurse Manager or Senior Registered Nurse
- Perform Daily routine: Conducts regular nursing rounds to assess patients’ needs and communicate with them and their families; Prepares and tidies patients’ beds and linens as needed and organizes patients’ belongings as well as furniture Disinfects the beds, furniture, and equipment after utilizing them; Maintain the ward, store, fridge and its facilities clean and tidy; Answer phone calls and relay messages; Attendants to patients call the bell promptly; Assist nurses in transporting patients; Escorts patients to other services for therapy and from the ward to other areas upon admission or discharge.
- Assists the trained staff in various aspects: Carried out of nursing care, such as patient comfort, safety, nutrition, hygiene, admission, transfer, discharge, dressing, intravenous lines, feeding, catheterization, etc.; Cleans and disinfects the trolley and instruments after use and stores them properly; Records the daily charges for the items used in the ward and updates the patients’ charges accordingly; Serve meals and assist to feed patients, prepare drinks for patients if needed. Maintains the record of intake and output chart for each patient; Lifts, turns, and positions patients safely and comfortably using the correct body mechanics and transfer techniques; Accompany the consultant in performing procedures and rounds in the absence of trained nurses.
- Attend meetings held by the service or when advised by the Nurse Manager or Senior Registered Nurse.

**EDUCATION**:

- Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia
- Certified healthcare assistants would be a priority.
- Experienced Care Assistants would be a priority.

**KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCES**:

- Experience working in a hospital setting is an advantage
- No experience is also welcomed as training will be provided

**SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED**:

- Able to converse fluently and write in English language and Bahasa Malaysia

- Willingness to work on scheduled hours, shifts and weekends, public holidays and any time called during an emergency (rotational shift)

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM2,800.00 per month
