Safety, Health, and Environmental

**Position Overview**:
We are looking for a dedicated Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) Manager to oversee the implementation and compliance of occupational safety, health, and environmental policies in accordance with Malaysian laws and regulations, including the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) 1994, Environmental Quality Act (EQA) 1974, and other related legislations.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Regulatory Compliance**:

- Ensure compliance with Malaysian occupational safety, health, and environmental regulations, including OSHA 1994, Factories and Machinery Act (FMA) 1967, and EQA 1974.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies such as DOSH (Department of Occupational Safety and Health), DOE (Department of Environment), and local authorities to meet statutory requirements.

**Policy and Program Development**:

- Develop and implement safety, health, and environmental policies in line with Malaysian laws and industry best practices.
- Regularly review and update policies to reflect legislative changes and organizational needs.

**Training and Awareness**:

- Arrange mandatory training programs, including Safety and Health Committee (SHC) training, emergency response training, and environmental awareness sessions.
- Educate employees on compliance requirements and promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.

**Risk Management and Assessment**:

- Carry out risk assessments and Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Risk Control (HIRARC) activities.
- Develop strategies to mitigate or eliminate risks identified during assessments.

**Incident Reporting and Investigation**:

- Investigate workplace incidents, near-misses, and accidents to determine root causes.
- Prepare and submit required reports to DOSH or DOE within the stipulated timeframes.

**Environmental Sustainability**:

- Manage environmental aspects, including waste management, air and water quality monitoring, and pollution control, in compliance with the EQA 1974.
- Implement environmental management programs to reduce carbon footprint and enhance sustainability.

**Emergency Preparedness**:

- Develop and update emergency response plans, including fire safety plans and chemical spill responses, to comply with Malaysian regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate emergency drills and ensure readiness for crises.

**Audit and Reporting**:

- Conduct internal and external SHE audits to ensure continuous compliance with legal and organizational standards.
- Prepare reports for management and regulatory agencies, including DOSH annual reports and environmental impact assessments.

**Committee Management**:

- Lead the Safety and Health Committee in line with OSHA 1994 requirements.
- Facilitate regular committee meetings, inspections, and follow-up on corrective actions.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Certifications such as Green Book by DOSH, NEBOSH, or equivalent will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role in Malaysia.
- Comprehensive understanding of OSHA 1994, FMA 1967, and EQA 1974.
- Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia and English.

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
