Job Title: Lab Assistant

Job Summary:
A Lab Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of a laboratory by

providing assistance to scientists, researchers, and other laboratory personnel. The primary

responsibilities include performing routine tasks, maintaining equipment, and ensuring a safe

and organized working environment.

Responsibility:
1. Monitor and manage laboratory supplies, reagents, and consumables.

2. Inform superior/person-in-charged of low stock levels and assist in replenishing

supplies.

3. Keep an organized inventory system for easy retrieval of items.

4. Ensure that the facilities are in good condition by cleaning in the areas assigned on

daily/weekly basis.

5. Clean and sterilize laboratory instruments and bench top after use.

6. Clean and autoclave the glassware to be used in the laboratory.

7. Prepare Isopropanol and Decontamination solution for laboratory use.

8. Responsible to handle biohazard waste according to Biohazard Waste Management

SOPs. Coordinate with inter-department for discarding the waste.

9. Responsible on laundry related matters of the laboratory and ensure that clean

garments are always available for use in the laboratory.

10. Assist in photocopying and filing of documents.

11. Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment.

Report any safety hazards or incidents promptly.

12. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and enforce safety measures.

13. Carry out activities in compliance with the Company’s policy and other duties as and

when requested by the Company.

Qualifications:
High school diploma/SPM or equivalent; additional education in a relevant field is a

plus.

Passionate in working in a laboratory environment.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to follow instructions and protocols accurately.

Good communication and teamwork skills.

Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Previous experience in a laboratory setting is a plus.

**Job Type**: Permanent

**Salary**: RM1,500.00 - RM2,000.00 per month
