**Job Description - Electro Mechanical GCM**

**Position : Commodity Manager**

**Commodity Scope : Passive Components & Packaging
**Responsibilities**
- Responsible to handle assigned commodities by creating & delivering on sourcing strategies and drive supplier excellence on quality, cost, agility and time-to-market metrics
- Understand Juniper’s needs to the industry and drive strategic partnerships to enable well aligned investments
- Align suppliers and Juniper technology roadmaps through understanding of market trends, Juniper technology requirements, and suppliers’ value proposition
- Play a critical role in aligning with Juniper Commodity strategy in general to identify Project, Technology and business issues among Juniper cross-functional teams
- Collaborate with the Juniper Commodity SME's to support global sourcing strategy creation and execution.
- Ownership in defining supplier selection criteria, working with team on selecting supply base and developing targeted preferred supplier list, AVL management
- Effectively engage & lead in the negotiation and execution of NDA, Master Purchase Agreements, SoW and/or Joint Development Agreements
- Scorecard suppliers and lead business reviews with Juniper and Supplier Executives
- Participate in executive negotiations to achieve cost reductions and Identify sourcing opportunities and negotiate world class pricing and terms
- Drive productivity gains through collaboration with suppliers, project oriented.
- Drive value engineering activities with a multi-functional team & project oriented teams
- Understand current market pricing and dynamics of competitive landscape, market trends
- Support the development from suppliers to enable innovative products/solutions to align with Juniper Project need.
- From Project perspective, to mitigate the risks in corporate strategy, supplier financials, corporate compliance, and operations
- Possess understanding of Commodity industry indicators and market intelligence
- Flexibility to handle commodities within the Juniper electromechanical commodity space

**Qualifications**
- Minimum BS (Commodity management, Material Science, Electrical Engineering and/or Mechanical Engineering) with combined 10 years of Engineering and Manufacturing Experience.
- Preferred MS in Engineering and/or MBA with 10+ years of Global Commodity Management, Manufacturing or Management experiences, networking experience is a plus
- Direct experience in commodity management of Electromechanical is a must, such as Electronics components ( Passives, Discretes, power components etc ) Preferred to have broader experience in other electromech commodities such as packaging, mechanical, etc
- Has strong program management skill to drive project results in terms of cost, agility, and time to market.
- Proven strong leadership and influencing skills.
- Proven experience and exposure with CEM, ODM and JDM Mfg. model
- Must possess excellent English verbal and written communications skills.
- Travel 15-20%
