Consumer research expertise
- Able to advice, construct, and recommend the right mixture of research tools, approach, and methods to address business objectives, which involves TWO key areas:
- Strong understanding in design and conducting Quantitative studies, such as structuring and analyzing surveys to evaluate impact of product changes and gather insights at scale.
- Adequate understanding in designing and conducting Qualitative studies, including field observations and interviews, remote and in-person usability studies for existing and future products.
- Identify and explore new opportunities through creative research methods and co-design sessions to help define product roadmaps, vision, and strategy.
- Collaborate closely with other researchers, designers, product managers, IT, marketing and operations managers, and developers to ensure research you deliver is integrated into every aspect of the product and provides a holistic view of our users.
- Synthesize and communicate research findings to inform business decisions through rich storytelling via presentations, reports, workshops and any other novel, creative approaches that you invent.
- Adapt and innovate research methods to meet product needs by delivering high quality insights in a fast paced work environment, and by contextualizing for specific use cases across products such as banking for the traditional, fintech, cryptocurrency etc.
- Project-led initiatives: ranging from U&A, market sizing / penetration, concept / idea evaluations, usability tests, post-launch deep-dives etc.
- Platform-led initiatives: primarily from internal data sources e.g. monthly CSAT surveys, community platform ideas, social media etc. which can be synthesized as part of insights and / or recommendations.
Stakeholder management
- Build empathy across the organization to improve the products / channels we build for our customers and employees across 4 countries and always champion for our users.
- Empathy and can-do attitude is the core value for the department. Always ready to help, consult, ideate, and solve problems together with all internal business partners across all departments.
- Be the go-to expert and advisor for internal business partners when it comes to consumer insights and usability related areas work.
Advocating consumer-centric thinking leveraging insights
- Sharing knowledge and findings from projects with bank-wide audience through internal platforms e.g. Google Currents, Workday, knowledge transfer sessions etc.
