**Reports To**: Laboratory Supervisor / QC Manager

**Job Overview**:
The Lab Assistant will support daily laboratory operations, including sample preparation, basic testing, and maintaining lab cleanliness and documentation. This role is critical in ensuring consistent product quality and compliance with production standards.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Collect and prepare raw materials, in-process, and finished product samples.
- Perform basic laboratory tests such as viscosity, acid value, solid content, specific gravity, and gel time.
- Record and report test results accurately and promptly.
- Calibrate, clean, and maintain laboratory instruments.
- Assist in keeping laboratory records, MSDS files, and test logs up to date.
- Support the chemist or lab technician in research or development work as needed.
- Ensure lab cleanliness and follow safety procedures at all times.
- Dispose of chemical waste according to standard protocols.
- Maintain proper labeling and storage of chemical reagents and samples.

**Requirements**:

- SPM / Certificate / Diploma in Chemistry, Science, or related field.
- Prior lab experience in a chemical or manufacturing environment is an advantage.
- Basic understanding of lab safety and handling of chemicals.
- Detail-oriented and able to follow procedures accurately.
- Willing to work in a plant environment and handle routine tasks.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
