**PRODUCTION CHEMIST**

**Job Purpose**

**Primary Role - Key Responsibilities**
- Evaluation of flow assurance challenges based on operating conditions. Host quarterly Flow Assurance meetings and maintain action list
- Verifies existing operating envelopes and provides optimization recommendations for facilities with an overarching system view.
- Establish and maintain relevant flow assurance KPI’s and work with stakeholders where KPI’s need modifications, or new performance indicators.
- Responsible for Data Gathering Plan, sampling and analysis as needed, that feeds to overall Field Surveillance and Field Performance analysis frequently presented in the Flow Assurance Meeting. Actively interact cross-functional to ensure sharing of Best Practices. Proactively suggest KPIs or metrics to improve the production.
- Support Offshore with overall surveillance program and process troubleshooting with heavy focus on Water and Chemical Systems: Including but not limited to produced water treatment and disposal, sea water treatment, and associated process related chemicals.
- Work with stakeholders to establish the chemical treatment program - manage targets, dosage, equipment and testing. Maintain chemical delivery data on appropriate dashboard
- Analyzes process abnormalities through utilization of process simulation and modeling, evaluates through root cause analysis (RCA) methodology, and provides recommendations for short term and long-term mitigation.
- Provide flow assurance engineering expertise and judgment in support of engineering risk assessments, integrity management and safe, compliant and reliable operations.
- Develop contact with the chemical supplier/vendors, and local laboratories for expanded capabilities.
- Manage vendor interfaces for the Chemical System Surveillance to ensure overall system effectiveness.
- Manage 3rd party chemical and engineering studies and surveys, ensuring quality technical work is delivered both on schedule and on budget.
- Collaborates cross-functionally with other engineering disciplines, providing necessary and critical process engineering input to Operation/MRI Initiatives and Brownfield Projects.
- Support EHS and Regulatory functions to ensure compliance is maintained. This includes supporting and participating in Facility Risk Assessments and HAZOPs

**Competency and Skills**
- Bachelor of Science Engineering Degree in suitable discipline
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in flow assurance engineering or consulting for offshore and onshore hydrocarbon producing assets.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience with an offshore operating company in a variety of development and operations roles.
- Experience in developing flow assurance prevention and mitigation strategies backed by solid knowledge of multiphase flow dynamics, hydrate formation, sand management as well as deposition such as asphaltene, paraffin and scale. Experience with flow assurance chemical management through optimization and remediation is required.
- Experience with diagnosing flow assurance anomalies with process data. Ability to easily examine trends and identify signatures of flow remine change or deposition.
- Experience with building, running and interpreting multiphase, transient flow assurance models (like OLGA).
- Experience with using structured reliability problem solving tools such as 5 whys and root cause analysis (RCA).
- Knowledge of equipment within respective discipline
- Process Simulation Software Knowledge (HYSYS)
- Understanding of integrated capacity and process modeling
- Subject Matter Expert knowledge in API 14C.
- Subject Matter Expert knowledge of offshore process design, water treatment and disposal, water injection and SWIM system design and operation
- Experience in P&ID development
- Experience in brown-field development projects
- Experience in sizing and specifying process equipment
- Offshore Operations experience preferred, but not required

Pay: From RM6,000.00 per month
