**Job Summary**
Oversee and lead the company’s HR functions, ensuring alignment with business objectives while fostering a positive, compliant, and engaging workplace culture. The role also carries HR Manager responsibilities, including managing the HR budget process from planning to monitoring. This position reports directly to the CHRO and the local GM of PSS Penang.
**Responsibilities**:
**Strategic HR & Business Partnership**
- Serve as a strategic partner to the plant management team, designing and implementing HR strategies that drive business goals.
- Support regional HR initiatives and ensure local HR policies align with global standards to enhance operational efficiency.
**Operations & Compliance**
- Ensure full compliance of HR policies and practices with Malaysian labor laws.
- Manage the HR budget process, including planning, approvals, and expenditure tracking, ensuring cost efficiency.
- Oversee relationships with HR service providers (e.g., transportation, foreign worker management, hostels) in collaboration with the purchasing department to ensure compliant, cost-effective services.
**Talent & Performance Management**
- Lead recruitment and selection strategies to attract top talent and maintain a robust talent pipeline.
- Promote a pay-for-performance culture by managing effective appraisal systems and ensuring fair, competitive compensation and benefits.
- Oversee talent and competency development, partnering with global teams to deliver training programs.
- Implement succession planning and support career development for high-potential employees.
**Employee Engagement & Communication**
- Drive internal communication initiatives such as town halls and newsletters to strengthen company culture.
- Lead employee engagement activities to enhance morale and foster a positive work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by superiors.
**Job Requirements**
- Minimum 10 years’ HR experience, including at least 3 years as an HR Manager with both strategic and operational expertise in the manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of Malaysian labor laws and familiarity with global HR best practices.
- Proven experience in HR budget planning and financial management.
- Experience with automotive industry standards (IATF, RBA, ISO) is a strong advantage.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to set direction, advise senior management, and make decisions.
- High integrity with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
- Strategic thinker with strong execution capabilities.
Pay: RM10,000.00 - RM14,000.00 per month
