Business Development Manager

**JOB SUMMARY**
The primary objective of this role is to maintain existing business, develop new business and lead and oversee the implementation of these projects within the Company, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget and meet quality standards. The Program Manager is responsible for business development to enhance the company's market presence and competitiveness by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities. Additionally, the role includes coordinating cross-functional teams, managing resources and driving the successful execution of product development and other strategic initiatives. Extensive international travelling is to be expected.
**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**
**1. Business Development**
- Identify and evaluate new business opportunities to expand the company’s market presence.
- Present RFQs to potential Customers that are competitive and cost-efficient.
- Develop and maintain relationships with potential clients, partners and industry stakeholders.
- Work closely with management to create and execute strategies for market growth including the company’s marketing strategies.
- Conduct market research to understand industry trends, customer needs and competitive landscape.
- Prepare and present business proposals, contracts and agreements to potential clients.
- Participate in industry events, conferences and trade shows to promote the company’s products and services.
**2. Sales Management**
- Develop and grow business with existing Customers, lead the RFQ process, summarise and invoice PPV (Purchase Price Variance) and negotiate prices and E&O (excess and obsolete material).
- Develop a healthy sales strategy for the Company that ensures annual growth.
- Ensure that the Customer demand which is uploaded into the ERP is always up to date and as accurate as possible.
- Owner of Gross Margin, mitigate impacts of currency fluctuations, engineering changes and material cost.
- Negotiate and prepare to sign any contract documents that customers may present to the Company from time to time.
- General involvement in all major matters that include a Customer, like after sales, major quality claims, significant change in demand, major engineering changes and so forth.
**3. Project Planning and Execution**
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones and resource allocation.
- Oversee the execution and implementation of projects, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets and quality standards.
- Identify and mitigate risks to ensure successful project completion.
**4. Team Coordination**
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, sourcing/purchasing, marketing and sales.
- Foster effective communication and collaboration among team members.
- Provide guidance, support and direction to ensure project objectives are met.
**5. Resource Management**
- Allocate and manage resources, including personnel, equipment and budget to optimise project efficiency.
- Monitor and control project expenditures to ensure financial targets are met.
**6. Performance Monitoring and Reporting**
- Track project progress and performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Generate and present regular project reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Analyse project outcomes and identify areas for improvement.
**7. Continuous Improvement**
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the project teams.
- Identify and implement best practices and process improvements to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.
**JOB REQUIREMENTS**
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration or a related field..
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in program or project management within the electronics industry. Preferably a technical background within EMS.
- Proven track record of managing complex projects from inception to completion.
- Experience in business development or sales within the electronics or related industries.
- Strong project management skills, including planning, scheduling and resource management.
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Being able to develop and see through to completion a sales and marketing strategy.
- Knowledge of electronics manufacturing processes and industry standards.
- Ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
- Strong negotiation and presentation skills.
- Market research and analytical abilities.
- Highly organised and detail-oriented.
Pay: RM10,000.00 - RM15,000.00 per month
