RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Maintain regular contact with controller, purchasing officer and stores to monitor price, quality and par stocks. 2. Maintain current information of competitor prices, products and promotions and works with the Sales Manager to produce menus and promotions. 3. Establishes and maintains high standards in food and beverage products, service, equipment and facilities by creating and implementing training program with convention centre policies and procedures. 4. Develops and co-ordinates special food and entertainment promotions in co-ordination with the Sales Manager and Senior Manager, Operations. 5. Schedules regular department meetings to discuss new merchandising ideas and coming events. 6. Maintains sensitivity to local cultural traditions or those of guests. 7. Provides current information about the company facilities, services and special events and ensures F & B staff is able to make recommendations to guest about all the company services. 8. Assistance well knowledge to the emergency evacuation and medical procedures. 9. Well knowledge to the local authority rules & regulation i.e. MBSA 10. Ensures high standards of personal appearance and hygiene with clean and pressed uniforms and name badge as described in staff handbook. 11. Maintains a high standard of hygiene and sanitation throughout all service areas. 12. To maintain confidentially of all rates, promotional or contractual issued by Sales Department.
