**THE ROLE**

The Technical Business Analyst will work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, development, and business stakeholders, to gather requirements, analyze data structures, and oversee the successful execution of data migration projects.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Requirement Gathering and Analysis**:

- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data migration needs and objectives.
- Elicit, document, and prioritize technical and business requirements for data migration projects.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and data mapping documents.

**Data Mapping and Transformation**:

- Analyze source data structures and identify data transformation requirements.
- Develop data mapping documents to ensure accurate and efficient data migration.
- Work with development teams to design and implement data transformation rules and scripts.

**Quality Assurance and Testing**:

- Develop testing strategies and plans for data migration projects.
- Execute data validation and reconciliation processes to ensure data integrity post-migration.
- Identify and resolve data quality issues during the migration process.

**Project Management**:

- Define project scope, timelines, and milestones for data migration initiatives.
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure timely execution and delivery of migration projects.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.

**Communication and Collaboration**:

- Act as a liaison between business stakeholders, IT teams, and developers.
- Communicate project updates, status reports, and issues to relevant parties.
- Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather requirements and ensure alignment.

**Documentation**:

- Maintain comprehensive documentation of data migration processes, workflows, and decisions.
- Create user guides and documentation to support end-users during and after migration.

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst with a focus on data migration projects.
- Strong understanding of data migration concepts, techniques, and best practices.
- Proficiency in data mapping, transformation, and ETL processes.
- Familiarity with databases, SQL, and data modeling.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
- Project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- Familiarity with relevant tools and software for data migration and analysis.

**Preferred**:

- Experience with specific data migration tools and platforms.
- Relevant certifications in business analysis, data management, or project management.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 12 months

**Salary**: RM11,400,000.00 - RM14,500,000.00 per month
