We are now inviting an experienced, passionate, and forward-thinking Green Building Consultant to join our growing Malaysia team.

About the Role

As a Green Building Consultant, you will take the lead in delivering high-performance green building solutions across diverse sectors. You will work closely with clients, project teams, and industry partners to champion sustainable design, drive certification outcomes, and elevate environmental performance throughout the project lifecycle.

This is a key position for those who aspire to shape the future of sustainable buildings and contribute meaningfully to AEC's regional impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee Green Building certification projects (GreenRE, GBI, LEED, WELL, BEAM Plus, and others).
  • Provide expert advisory on sustainable design strategies, energy efficiency, and environmental performance.
  • Manage project documentation, submission processes, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Conduct technical assessments, including energy modelling and site evaluations where required.
  • Mentor and support junior consultants, fostering a culture of learning and technical excellence.
  • Deliver presentations, technical proposals, and sustainability insights to clients and partners.
  • Contribute to AEC's business development initiatives and presence in the green building ecosystem.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in Green Building consultancy or sustainability services.
  • Professional accreditation in at least one major rating tool (GreenRE AP, GBI Facilitator, LEED AP, WELL AP, BEAM Pro, etc.) is essential.
  • Strong technical understanding of building systems, energy efficiency measures, and sustainability frameworks.
  • Proven capability in managing multiple certification projects independently.
  • Exceptional communication, analytical, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • A proactive mindset with a genuine commitment to driving sustainability impact.
  • As you will be dealing with clients in Hong kong, a strong knowledge of Cantones will be an added advantages.
