Mandarin Speaking Bookkeeper at Accounting Firm

Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper with 1–3 years of hands-on experience. The ideal candidate will be confident using Xero, capable of managing day-to-day bookkeeping tasks independently, and able to support the Accountant with basic adjustments and preparation work. Strong communication skills and the ability to work autonomously are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform bank reconciliations accurately and efficiently.
- Manage accounts payable, including bills entry and invoice processing.
- Assist the Accountant with minor adjustments, month-end preparation, and ad-hoc tasks.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure all data is updated in Xero.
- Manage personal workflow and assigned tasks independently and proactively.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and clients when needed.
Must-Have Requirements
- 1–3 years of relevant bookkeeping experience.
- Mandatory: Strong proficiency in Xero accounting software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- High level of accuracy, organisation, and attention to detail.
Preferred (Nice-to-Have)
- Mandarin + English bilingual communication skills (conversational Mandarin preferred).
- Prior experience in an Australian bookkeeping or accounting environment is an advantage.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM6, RM7,000.00 per month
