We are currently hiring for one of our client who named to Fortune's 2025 World's Most Admired company (LAM), for the position of IT Engineer in Batu Kawan & Kulim facility. They are also global supplier of innovative wafer fabrication equipment and services to the semiconductor industry. This location supports a strong focus on manufacturing, engineering, and research to meet rising demand in the semiconductor industry and plays a key role in advancing technology used in everyday products like smartphones and computers.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, network systems, and servers.
  • Provide first-level and second-level technical support to end users through phone, email, or on-site assistance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues promptly.
  • Perform system upgrades, security patches, and software updates to ensure optimal performance.
  • Monitor network performance, manage firewalls, and ensure data protection and cybersecurity compliance.
  • Support user account setup, email configuration, and system access management.
  • Maintain IT inventory, documentation, and asset records.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to understand IT requirements and implement effective technical solutions.
  • Ensure regular system backups and assist in disaster recovery planning.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and ensure minimal downtime across IT systems.

Requirements:

  • Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience in IT support, network administration, or system maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and/or Linux operating systems, networking protocols, and computer hardware.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, firewall configuration, and virtualization tools (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) is an advantage.
  • Good analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
