1. Process & Design Engineering

  • Carry out step-by-step process design for sewage/wastewater treatment systems.
  • Perform hydraulic and process calculations.
  • Develop Process Flow Diagram and P&ID (Process & Instrumentation Diagram).
  • Prepare detailed engineering drawings, layout plans, and equipment arrangement in CAD.
  • Prepare design reports, technical submissions, and engineering documentation.

2. Equipment Selection & Specification

  • Identify and size appropriate mechanical and electrical equipment (pumps, blowers, mixers, instrumentation, etc.).
  • Prepare technical specifications and datasheets for vendor quotation or procurement.
  • Evaluate and compare vendor proposals; ensure compliance with project requirements.

3. Project & Client Coordination

  • Attend and lead technical meetings with clients, consultants, contractors, and authorities.
  • Present engineering proposals, design philosophy, and process solutions.

4. Site Work & Construction Support

  • Provide site supervision during installation, testing, and commissioning of treatment systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve site issues related to design, equipment, or process performance.
  • Verify works comply with approved drawings, design requirements, specifications, and QA/QC standards.
  • Conduct site inspections, prepare site reports, and follow up with contractors.

5. Documentation & Paperwork

  • Prepare method statements, work procedures, calculation sheets, and design notes.
  • Assist in preparing authorities' submissions.
  • Maintain project document control, reports, and records.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering (or equivalent).
  • 3–5 years relevant working experience in water/wastewater or sewage treatment plant projects.
  • Understanding of wastewater treatment processes (biological, chemical, and physical treatment).
  • Familiar with Malaysia's relevant engineering standards, regulations, and design guidelines (e.g., MS, JKR, SPAN, DOE).
  • For the Engineer position, candidates are expected to possess the following skills and competencies. For the Assistant Engineer position, training will be provided for the successful applicant who may not yet meet these requirements.
