Sales Support Manager

Position Overview:

The Senior Sales Support role is responsible for leading and overseeing quotation, pricing, and design support processes for the Singapore market.

This role ensures that the Singapore sales team receives accurate, timely, and responsive support. The successful candidate will be a proactive problem solver, able to anticipate challenges, streamline workflows, and deliver solutions that enhance sales effectiveness, accuracy and client satisfaction.

As a team leader, the role involves people management responsibitilies and close collaboration with Bid Managers, PM and Sales teams to understand project requests, align on quotation strategies, and ensure accurate, timely submissions. The ideal candidate will provide strong leadership to the team while actively contributing to service requests and design solution development.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership and Management:

• Coordinate and manage resources to ensure efficient project support, balancing team capacity and technical expertise as needed.
• Lead team performance by setting clear expectations, fostering accountability, and creating a culture of collaboration and excellence.
• Organize regular team and partner meetings to align objectives, workflows, and priorities.
• Identify and resolve issues, including order roadblocks, while encouraging a solutions-oriented mindset across the team.
• Collaborate with Sales Director Singapore and Malaysia to provide updates on key metrics, roadblocks, capacity concerns, and areas for improvement.
• Proactively assess capacity constraints and implement solutions to optimise workload distribution and team efficiency.
• Partner with leadership to establish and monitor KPIs aligned with business goals, driving performance and accountability.
• Empower the sales team by streamlining administrative tasks, enabling them to focus on customer engagement and delivering exceptional experiences.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and systems, implementing innovative solutions to enhance overall team effectiveness.
• Act as a key liaison between sales and support functions, ensuring alignment and effective communication at all levels.
• Manage team capacity planning around public holidays to ensure consistent coverage and uninterrupted project support.

Quotation and Pricing Oversight:

• Ensure the team generates accurate quotes in HDS/Pcon and supports order conversions.
• Provide guidance on interpreting and applying typical drawings and floor plan take-offs.
• Oversee adherence to regional pricing processes (AP, NA, Europe) for special product requirements.
• Ensure the team compiles project quotations and supports RFP/RFI submissions with the necessary documentation.
• Establish quality assurance measures for quotes and drawings.

Design Solutions Leadership:

• Set standards for developing comprehensive design solutions using Steelcase's global product portfolio.
• Ensure the team delivers AutoCAD drawings, typical layouts, detailed space plans, and post-installation drawings.
• Support the team in gathering and understanding project requirements, while advising and delivering tailored solutions for customers.
• Facilitate collaboration with cross-functional teams ie Special teams, to ensure technical drawings and product applications align with project needs.
