We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Account Assistant (Fresh Graduate) to join our finance team in Miri. The ideal candidate should have a basic understanding of accounting principles, strong numerical skills, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment. This role offers excellent exposure to full-cycle accounting operations and professional career growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in daily accounting operations including data entry, invoice processing, and payment preparation.
  • Maintain and update accounting records and documentation accurately.
  • Assist in bank reconciliations, petty cash handling, and financial reporting.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Liaise with internal departments, auditors, and suppliers when required.
  • Assist with stock count, audit preparation, and other financial administrative tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and procedures.
  • Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Finance Executive or Manager.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Basic understanding of accounting software (e.g., SQL, Autocount, or QuickBooks) is an advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Detail-oriented, responsible, and eager to learn.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
