Assistant Restaurant Manager – Job Description

Position Overview:

The Assistant Restaurant Manager supports the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring excellent guest service, managing staff, and maintaining high standards of quality, cleanliness, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in supervising daily restaurant operations (front and back of house).
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through exceptional service.
  • Train, schedule, and supervise staff; provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback.
  • Handle guest concerns and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
  • Monitor food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
  • Manage inventory, order supplies, and control waste.
  • Assist with cash handling, daily reports, and financial recordkeeping.
  • Support marketing and promotional activities.
  • Uphold company policies, procedures, and brand standards.
  • Lead the team in the Manager's absence.

Qualifications

  • Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic understanding of restaurant operations and financial processes.
  • Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Restaurant Supervisor – Job Description

Position Overview:

The Restaurant Supervisor oversees shift-level operations, ensuring smooth workflow, excellent service, and compliance with operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise staff during assigned shifts and ensure service standards are met.
  • Coordinate floor operations, including table assignments and guest flow.
  • Train new hires on service protocols and company procedures.
  • Handle customer complaints and requests promptly.
  • Ensure cleanliness, orderliness, and safety throughout the restaurant.
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures.
  • Support inventory checks and stock management.
  • Communicate daily operational needs to management.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a restaurant or customer-service environment.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate staff.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours.
